Metabo HPT 36V MultiVolt Brushless Hammer Drill (DV36DAQ4) – Tool Only

This drill has incredible torque. I used it to bore through concrete with a 1/2 masonry bit – it didn't even bog down. The hammer mode is effective. I love that it's brushless – runs cool and efficient. The compact size fits in tight spaces. Definitely a pro-grade tool.

Even at the discount, it's pricey without batteries. I already had MultiVolt batteries so it made sense. The drill itself is powerful, and the variable speed is smooth. The handle is comfortable. The only issue is the chuck – it slips occasionally if not tightened well. Other than that, solid.

I've used this for heavy drilling and it hasn't let me down.

I'm an electrician, and I've used all major brands. This Metabo HPT is my favorite now. The 36V power is noticeable – it drills faster and with less effort. The reactive force control is a safety feature that helps if the bit binds. The LED light is handy. It's a bit heavy, but the power compensates. Worth the money.

The drill has high torque and the hammer action is solid. However, the chuck doesn't grip bits as tightly as I'd like – I've had bits slip, especially when using hole saws. It might be because it's a tool-only model and I'm using cheap bits, but still. Otherwise, decent.

I use this for weekend projects. It has plenty of power, but the 36V battery drains quickly if you're doing heavy drilling. I have a couple of batteries, so it's fine. The drill feels well-made and comfortable to use. I wish it came with a side handle – mine didn't, but maybe it's included in the kit version.

As a handyman, I need reliable tools. This drill is that. It has enough punch for any job I've thrown at it, from driving lag bolts to mixing paint. The hammer mode is excellent for masonry. The build quality is top-notch. I've dropped it and it keeps going. Great drill.

I was excited about this drill, but it died on me. The motor just stopped working while I was drilling a hole. I've heard good things about Metabo HPT, but this one is defective. Returning it for a refund. Very disappointed.

This drill is a workhorse. The 36V system gives it a lot of torque, and the variable speed trigger lets me do delicate work. The hammer drill function is perfect for concrete anchors. The compact design is a bonus. I also like that it's compatible with their 18V batteries if you use the adapter – but I use the 36V. Excellent tool.
